1500 Calorie Diet Menu

Have you tried all of the fad diets out there? The grapefruit diet, the cottage cheese diet etc.? Are you at the end of your rope and in despair over ever losing weight?
Are you saying: Oh please not another diet? This is not a diet it is a restricting of the way you eat. Yes there is hope for you to lose weight on this!
It’s pretty simple. Eat less. Reduce your caloric intake to 1500 calories a day. For the purposes of this article let us look at a sample four day 1500 calorie diet menu below.
DAY 1 of 1500 Calories
Breakfast: 1 and one fourth cups of cereal, skim milk and one half a cup of strawberries
Lunch: 1 cup minestrone soup and 2 slices of whole wheat bread
Dinner: Halibut with steamed white rice and tea to drink
One snack to eat at your choosing: Once ounce of peanuts
Heath Tip: You must spend more calories than you take in
DAY 2 Diet Menu
Breakfast: A breakfast cereal of your choosing with skim milk and unsweetened fruit juice
Lunch: 1 banana and a yogurt
Dinner: 3 ounces of chicken breast with one cup of pasta
Snack: One small chocolate bar
Health Tip: Try to drink at least six to eight glasses of water a day
DAY 3 1500 Calorie Menu
Breakfast: Plain bagel and caffeinated coffee
Lunch: 2 ounces of turkey on whole wheat bread. One half a cup of skim milk. Vegetables of your choosing
Dinner: 4 oz of whole wheat pasta with one half a cup of marinara sauce. 2 tablespoons of grated cheese.
Snack: Muesli or honey nut health bar.
Health Tip: Try to get plenty of exercise. 30-45 minutes a day is a great goal.
DAY 4 Diet Menu
Breakfast: 1 cup of oatmeal. One fourth a cup of skim milk. Raisins and 1 slice of whole wheat toast.
Lunch: Tuna salad sandwich with whole wheat bread
Dinner: 4 oz of broiled salmon. Three fourths a cup of salad. Tea or a diet drink.
Snack: 1 cup of frozen yogurt
Health Tip: Everything in moderation. Don’t starve yourself and do let yourself enjoy goodies once in awhile.
This is of course just a sample idea. I recommend going on the Internet or going to a bookstore and getting some weight loss books that have sample diets in them.
The important thing to realize is you are not alone and you can do this. Start an exercise program, slowly reduce your caloric intake with a 1500 calorie diet and watch the pounds melt off.
